Summer is only like 4 or 5 weeks here in PA. You have to take advantage of any nice weather. We got lucky one day we both took off and took Nicco to Knoebels Amusement Park at Elysburg, PA. We had never been there before, so we didn’t know quite where to go. We only stayed around a very small are where the kiddy rides were. He had a very good time.
This is an old-school family park. There were areas for stroller parking by rides. I don’t think one would trust leaving one’s belongings out while on a ride at other parks. There is a water park and some larger rides that we never made it to. It’s free to get in and then you just buy tickets for the rides.

Seeing as how he loves to join in and help with anything… We got him a shovel, rake, and hoe. Here he is hoeing amongst the beans.

Aunt Laura and John came up from New Jersey. It was a nice day. Aunt Laura even got to try out the swings. Shouldn’t be long and they will both be as tall as Aunt laura.

He sets this chair up and then wants me to hit wiffle balls from the “auto ball launcher” thing he has. He’s actually pretty good at hitting them himself. He has enough weight to depress the pedal to start the timer to launch the ball now.
I guess it’s like going to the game. The crack of the bat… The smell of fresh cut grass… The luxury of fresh delivered hot dogs and peanuts..

They were going back and forth between the pool and this water slide. Fun was had by all.

He certainly likes water. And with his water shoes on, he’s in and out all day.
They fill up their water pistols in the pool and then use them on unsuspecting victims.
He has a new saying he heard from Nana. “You’re killing me.”
Nice.

It finally got hot enough for the pool. I have a nice fold-up canopy that we put the pool under if it’s too sunny and hot. When you get them both in there, there’s a whole lot o’ splashing going on.
